This year’s Wisconsin team put itself in some pretty good company with a 30-6 win over Michigan State on Saturday in East Lansing.
The last time the Badgers beat a ranked team by a wider margin on the road, they reeled off eight-straight wins and finished the season with a Rose Bowl victory.
Largest margin of road victory over ranked team since 42-17 @ OSU in '99. That, coincidentally was first start for freshman Brooks Bollinger pic.twitter.com/BXe07nlIP6

Notice some similarities here?
Like Alex Hornibrook, Brooks Bollinger made his first start on the road against a ranked opponent and won. The victim that day — Oct. 2, 1999 — was Ohio State, by a score of 42-17 in Columbus.
