Former Wisconsin star J.J. Watt harassed on Twitter by NFL reporter
There’s nothing quite like social media banter. Late Tuesday night, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio got into a beef on Twitter with Houston Texans and former Wisconsin star J.J. Watt.
Watt posted a photo wearing a skintight United States men’s soccer team jersey to show his support before Team USA’s Copa America semi-final game against Argentina, which was played at NRG Stadium in Houston. Florio was having none of that and mocked Watt for bringing attention upon himself on social media.

"Why does everyone always want to talk about me? I'm just minding my own business and seeking no attention at all." https://t.co/K67Av3zsDM

Watt retorted with a snarky reply, advising Florio to stay off of his page if he isn’t interested in seeing what the star defensive end has to say. Florio sniped back with an even more sarcastic reply.
@ProFootballTalk you do know how Twitter works, right? If you don't want to see it, stay off my page. Take your saltiness elsewhere.

I do stay off your page. I follow your team's page. They retweeted it. That's how Twitter works, right? https://t.co/4arzpy1LzB

Watt refused to be antagonized by this tweet and didn’t respond. Florio wasn’t finished, however, and made one final statement to summarize his thoughts.
Take your false humility elsewhere.

It’s never good to see an athlete quarreling on the Internet with a fan, but it’s even weirder when a superstar and a reporter go to war on the keyboards. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed, sort of.
