With the clock winding down and LSU creeping ever closer to a potential game-winning field goal, Wisconsin safety D’Cota Dixon came up with a game-saving interception Saturday at Lambeau Field.
He then immediately got leveled by Tigers offensive lineman Josh Boutte.
It was a blatant cheap shot by a clearly frustrated Boutte, who was ejected from the game. Dixon didn’t seem all that bothered by the move when ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg caught up with him in the locker room.
“I was shocked a little bit, but it’s all right,” he said. “I’ve been hit harder.”
Here’s a replay of the interception and hit.
