Unrated on 247Sports’ star system, Goetz is listed at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds.
The linebacker is the fourth Badgers commit in the 2018 class so far, joining quarterback Ben Bryant, safety Reggie Pearson and fellow Wisconsin native, safety Trent Ingalls.
Goetz’s commitment is the first the Badgers have landed in the 2018 class since December. He also had offers from Illinois State, Bowling Green and Northern Illinois.
Wisconsin’s 2017 recruiting class featured seven commits from the state.
