In Week 1, the Badgers took on Utah State and it took a while for the favorites to flex their muscles. Wisconsin trailed in the second quarter, 10-0, before pouring it on the Aggies to take home an eventual 59-10 victory.
The 49-point differential came in part to freshman running back Jonathan Taylor. Taylor got an opportunity in the game, as the score kept inflating in the Badgers’ favor, and made the most of it.
The Wisconsin newcomer had nine carries for 87 yards and a touchdown in his collegiate debut. Taylor was one of four Badgers to record a rushing score, while Chris James – announced as the other Badgers’ starting tailback ahead of Week 2 – had five carries for 15 yards.
The contest against FAU is slated for a noon ET start and will be televised on BTN.
