Wisconsin’s 2018 recruiting class has added its 13th member.
Alex Smith, a cornerback from Culver City, California, committed to the Badgers late Tuesday night, choosing Paul Chryst and company over Boston College, Army, Navy and others.
“[T]hank you to all the schools and coaches that have recruited me in this wonderful process but with that being said I will be committing to the University of Wisconsin!!!” he wrote on Twitter.

Smith joins a recruiting class that was already ranked No. 24 in the country and No. 7 in the Big Ten, according to 247Sports’ composite rating. Smith is the first cornerback and third defensive back in the class.
Here are some highlights from Smith’s junior season at Culver City High School, in which he shows off his ability as both a cornerback and a kick returner.
