Wisconsin lands commitment from in-state walk-on
Matt Henningsen, a lineman out of Menomonee Falls, Wis., clearly wanted to be a Badger.
Henningsen announced Monday morning he had chosen to join Wisconsin as a walk-on, despite receiving a handful of scholarship offers.

Henningsen spurned offers from Buffalo, Illinois State, North Dakota, Northern Illinois, Princeton, South Dakota and Western Illinois.
Wisconsin’s 2017 recruiting class currently ranks No. 36 nationally and No. 9 in the Big Ten. The class is headlined by four-star offensive guard Kayden Lyles, who is rated as the No. 11 guard in the country.
