Alex Hornibrook shines at camp

Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook finished the season with an MVP performance in the Orange Bowl and appears to be still on quite the tear. The junior took home one of the top awards at the Manning Passing Academy this weekend, winning the Air It Out Challenge.

Shaq visits Wisconsin

Before his duties at the American Family Insurance Championship in Madison on Friday, Shaquille O’Neal stopped at the Kohl Center to visit with the Wisconsin basketball team.

Coach Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes may have failed to get Wisconsin commit Graham Mertz to flip to them, but Ohio State was able to grab another school’s quarterback. Michigan State 4-star commit Dwan Mathis announced his flip Sunday.

Former coach Bret Bielema sells house

Bret Bielema may have gotten fired by Arkansas last fall, but the former Wisconsin coach has made off with quite the haul for his troubles. The school is paying him more than $12 million as part of a buyout, while he just made an additional $325,000 from the sale of his home in Fayetteville, Ark.

Scott McCarron wins at University Ridge

The third year of the American Family Insurance Championship was held over the weekend at University Ridge, the home course of the Badgers golf teams. Though local favorites Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelly were in contention, Scott McCarron took home the title by shooting 15-under par.
