Badgers cornerback Derrick Tindal has been one of the top defensive backs in the Big Ten so far in 2016. But, Wisconsin may be without him for some time.
Lorin Cox, a writer for The Daily Cardinal, the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s student newspaper, posted a screenshot of a snapchat Tindal posted Tuesday morning saying the defensive back was getting surgery.

It is unconfirmed how or when Tindal was injured, or if the injury even occurred during the game against Michigan. It’s also unknown if he will miss any time due to the surgery.
Tindal is currently tied for third in the nation in two defensive categories: interceptions (3) and pass deflections (8). He’s also recorded 15 tackles on the season.
Luckily for Wisconsin, the Badgers have a bye week this weekend, which can help Tindal recover as he and No. 11 Wisconsin prepare to face off against No. 2 Ohio State on Oct. 15.
UPDATE 1:49: Wisconsin have confirmed Tindal had surgery on his right arm, however it was minor surgery and he is not expected to miss anytime as a result.
#Badgers officials note that CB Derrick Tindal had minor surgery on right hand this week. No missed time anticipated.
