Wisconsin quieted the Michigan State crowd late in the third quarter.
The Spartans punter, Jake Hartbarger, could not handle a snap deep in their own territory and it let Wisconsin take over just five yards away. The Badgers needed just one play, as running back Corey Clement took it in for a five-yard touchdown and a 30-6 Wisconsin lead.

It was the second time on the afternoon that the Badgers took advantage of a Michigan State turnover. Earlier in the second half, safety Leo Musso took a fumble 66 yards to the end zone.
