It was a little more difficult than expected, but Wisconsin basketball is back at .500 on the season after taking care of Chicago State 82-70 on Wednesday night.

DC Jim Leonhard ‘not going’ to Florida State

On Tuesday, word broke that new Florida State coach Willie Taggart was eyeing Wisconsin defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard. After reporting earlier Wednesday that it would take “something special” for Leonhard to leave Madison, Football Scoop later tweeted the the second-year coach was “not going” to Tallahassee.

Wisconsin players must decide to stay or go

Wisconsin lands a big one

Bowl trips are more than just about the game on the field. It’s also an opportunity to go on adventures you wouldn’t normally have a chance to do. And that’s exactly what a group of Badgers did in Miami, going big fish hunting and bagging a 450-pound shark.

Big plays still on Wisconsin’s mind

It’s been nearly a month since the Big Ten title game, but the explosive plays Ohio State had against Wisconsin have stayed with the Badgers defenders. And as Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writes, they know they can’t have a repeat against Miami in the Orange Bowl.

Wisconsin is playing in the Orange Bowl for the first time ever, but the ticket hasn’t been a hot one, at least through the university. According to Jason Galloway, school officials said as of last week it had sold just half of its 14,000 allotment.
