Wisconsin adds in-state QB Danny Vanden Boom as preferred walk-on
Wisconsin gained an intriguing prospect on Tuesday afternoon.
Danny Vanden Boom, a 2017 pro-style quarterback from Kimberly (Wis.) High School, announced his commitment to the Badgers via Twitter and will join the program as a preferred walk-on.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound passer threw for 2,499 yards with 25 touchdowns and zero interceptions while leading his team to a WIAA Division 1 state championship during his junior season, according to MaxPreps.com.
Vanden Boom’s father, Matt, was a former walk-on for the Badgers in the late 1970s and worked to the point of being recognized as a first-team All-Big Ten selection in 1981 and 1982.
