Nigel Hayes challenged Wisconsin students.
If basketball season tickets for students sold out in less than 5 minutes, Hayes promised he and Bronson Koenig would buy doughnuts for each student who bought a ticket.
Hayes couldn’t have been happier to underestimate the students — tickets sold out in about 3 minutes. So now he has to keep his promise.
Fastest sell out?

Hayes made a video he shared on Twitter on Tuesday, promising to hold up his end of the deal.
Hayes opens with a faked surprise reaction about being filmed before going on to thank the students. For those wondering, Hayes and the team will hand out doughnuts to students at 1 p.m. Friday in front of the Kohl Center.
“Hey guys!” Hayes said in the video. “Students, as you know, I bet you that you cannot sell out the student section in 5 minutes. I was right: You sold out in 3. And for that, I owe you guys doughnuts. So as you see, I’m making doughnuts right now. They may not be as good as the ones you’ll get, but your doughnuts will be delivered Friday, 1 p.m. in front of the Kohl Center. My teammates and myself will be there delivering doughnuts. So come get your doughnuts. And thank you, love you guys, see you this season.”
