It’s no secret that Big Ten basketball is down this season. A quick look at the polls — where no team from the conference is in the top 15 — will show you that.
Still, the conference should still be able to send at least seven teams to the NCAA Tournament this season. Could one of them get things together and make a deep run? Seth Greenberg doesn’t think so.
The former Virginia Tech coach turned ESPN analyst said he doesn’t think the Big Ten has a Final Four caliber team, or even one that could reach the Elite Eight.

At 30-1, Purdue is currently listed with the best odds to win the NCAA title of any Big Ten team. Wisconsin is second in the conference with 48-1 odds.
Getting to the Elite Eight would be a tough road for any Big Ten team, as it’s unlikely any team in the conference will get higher than a 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
