Houston Rockets forward and former Wisconsin basketball player Sam Dekker is engaged, as reported by Busted Coverage’s Dan Crawford.
Dekker posted a photo on his personal Twitter account of his fiancee, Olivia Harlan, wearing an engagement ring on Saturday. Harlan is the daughter of longtime NBA and NFL play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan.

Dekker played for the Badgers from 2012-2015 before being drafted 18th overall by the Rockets in the 2015 NBA Draft. He garnered second-team All-Big Ten honors in both 2014 and 2015, and he played an integral role in leading Wisconsin to an appearance in the 2015 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship game. He scored 16 points in a Final Four upset of undefeated Kentucky in the semifinals.
Dekker was named Wisconsin Mr. Basketball in 2012 as a senior at Sheboygan Lutheran High School.
Dekker made his first career NBA start on Jan. 21, 2017, scoring 30 points en route to a 119-95 Houston victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.
