Legendary Wisconsin coach Dick Bennett addresses Badgers after win over Ohio State
Dick Bennett must have been impressed with what he saw Thursday night at the Kohl Center.
Why wouldn’t he be? The Badgers jumped out to an early lead over Ohio State and never looked back in an 89-66 blowout win.
Afterward, the legendary coach went to the locker room and addressed the Wisconsin team.

Bennett, the father of current Virginia coach Tony Bennett, coached the Badgers from 1995 until 2001. He accumulated a record of 93-69 during his time in Madison, and retired with an overall record of 316-227 including stops at Green Bay (1985-95) and Washington State (2003-06).
Bennett was at the Kohl Center to participate in a special ceremony honoring the late Albert “Ab” Nicholas. It was announced that the Badgers’ home court will bear the name of Nicholas, a prominent booster and former player who passed away last August.
