Watt, the former Wisconsin star and current NFL All-Pro with the Houston Texans, posted a long message on his Twitter account Wednesday and spoke about dealing with the injury.
The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year noted this will be the first time he has missed a game since his sophomore year of high school. He wrote: “This won’t be fun, but it is necessary in order for me to return to 100% and play at the level that I am capable of playing at.”

Even with J.J. out, there is still a Watt that is making life difficult for offenses. T.J. Watt, J.J.’s younger brother, has had a great start to the season for Wisconsin and was named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week following the Badgers’ win over Michigan State.
