Wisconsin football is among the finalists to land Class of 2019 prospect Ishmael Burdine, as the 3-star recruit included the Badgers in his top 10 schools on Tuesday.
Burdine is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound safety from Slidell (La.) High School. He is considered one of the top prospects from Louisiana in his recruiting class.
Burdine announced his top 10 on Twitter. Along with Wisconsin, Burdine named Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Kansas State, Arkansas, Virginia and Tulane as his finalists.

Other programs such as Baylor, Utah and Kansas expressed interest in Burdine, but they ultimately did not make the cut for his final 10.
According to 247Sports 2019 composite rankings, Burdine is the No. 19-ranked prospect from Louisiana in his recruiting class and is ranked the No. 37 overall safety in the entire class. He is the overall No. 458-ranked player in the Class of 2019.
