After Wisconsin defeated Villanova in the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament, Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd decided to speak up for the Badgers. While on the air on Monday, he expressed his discontent with the athletic department’s inability to garner enough praise for its football and men’s basketball programs, respectively.
The Badgers represent one of two schools in Division I to play in a New Year’s 6 bowl game, along with advancing to the Sweet 16. The other hails from Ann Arbor, Mich., as the Michigan Wolverines sealed their ticket to the next round of the Big Dance with a victory over Louisville on Sunday.
“We don’t give them (Wisconsin) any love nationally, but every time you look up, the Badgers are in a really good bowl game, playing really well, or they’re in the tournament, doing really well,” Cowherd said. “All they do is win in every sport, and they never get any attention.”

Additionally, the Big Ten is one of four conferences to have three schools in the Sweet 16, tying the Big 12, SEC and Pac-12. The Badgers will attempt to seal a trip to the Elite Eight for the third time in the last four seasons against Florida on Friday. Tip-off is schedule for 9:59 p.m. ET on TBS.
