Former Wisconsin WR Krenwick Sanders transfers to Jacksonville State
Less than a week after being granted his release from Wisconsin, it appears former Badgers wide receiver Krenwick Sanders will transfer to Jacksonville State.
The news was first reported by 247Sports.com on Saturday night. The redshirt sophomore, a one-time Georgia commit, is eligible to play immediately for the FCS power.
Sanders did not appear on Wisconsin’s initial 105-man roster and was granted his release by Badgers coach Paul Chryst on August 13. A 3-star recruit and the No. 63-ranked receiver in the Class of 2014, Sanders caught one pass for 10 yards as a true freshman.
Jacksonville State played for the FCS national championship in 2015, falling to North Dakota State.
