Former Wisconsin forward Jon Leuer reportedly lands big contract in NBA free agency
There has been a lot of money thrown around thus far, and a good portion has gone to former Big Ten players.
A pair of former Buckeyes, Evan Turner and Mike Conley, received some nice new contracts – in Conley’s case, it is the richest deal in NBA history. Now, it’s a former Wisconsin player with a new deal.
Jon Leuer, who played for the Badgers from 2007-11, has secured a four-year, $42 million with the Detroit Pistons, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.

Leuer averaged 11.2 points per game while shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor during his four years at Wisconsin. In the NBA, Leuer has averaged 5.6 points per game, spending time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks and, most recently, the Phoenix Suns.
