Ethan Happ established himself as one of the best big men in the country during his sophomore season, and might just be the nation’s top center.
Happ was announced as one of five finalists for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award on Friday. The honor goes to the country’s top center.
Happ, who averaged 13.9 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in the regular season for the Badgers, was joined on the finalist list by Seton Hall’s Angel Delgado, Lehigh’s Tim Kempton, Gonzaga’s Przemek Karnowski and Jock Landale of Saint Mary’s.

Happ, who was a first-team All-Big Ten selection earlier in the week, was named a second-team All-American by Sports Illustrated on Wednesday.
The Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award is in just its third season. Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky won the honor in 2015.
