Bret Bielema likes to talk. He isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind, either.
So the Arkansas coach gave his honest opinion when he was asked about whether he would want to coach against his former team, Wisconsin.
As SEC Country‘s Jason Kersey reported, Bielema sees a game against the Badgers as possible, but only when all of his recruited players have moved on.
“We are looking for a Big Ten opponent after Michigan dropped us,” Bielema said. “Anything’s possible, but I would say that until all the players that I recruited were removed out of that program that it might hit a little too close to home myself, and working against coaches I know really, really well.”
When Michigan dropped Arkansas from the schedule, Bielema replaced the Wolverines with TCU. He later quipped the TCU game at Arkansas next year is all set, as long as the Horned Frogs don’t “Michigan us” and drop the Razorbacks.
Bielema went 68-24 in seven seasons as Wisconsin’s head coach before taking over at Arkansas. The Badgers finished in the top 10 three times.
