Cornerback Dedrick Mackey has trimmed his list of schools to eight, and two Big Ten schools were included.
Wisconsin and Purdue both made the Miami native’s list, which was revealed on Twitter on Monday. Mackey noted that this list was subject to change and was in alphabetical order.

The 3-star recruit is rated as the No. 62 cornerback nationally in the Class of 2017 and the No. 83 player in the state of Florida. Mackey has received 14 reported scholarship offers, including offers from Arkansas, Iowa State and Cincinnati. Interestingly, the Boilermakers have not offered Mackey a scholarship yet, according to 247Sports.com.
The Badgers could afford to land another prospect in its secondary and already have one commitment from 3-star cornerback Madison Cone from Kernersville, N.C. The Badgers and Boilermakers will also battle with in-state suitors Florida Atlantic, Central Florida and South Florida for Mackey’s commitment.
