Thanks to seven straight wins, Wisconsin has its highest ranking of the season.
In the latest edition of the Associated Press top 25, the Badgers moved up to No. 7. The Badgers were No. 10 last week but were not ranked above ninth until this week.
There’s been a lot of movement at the top of the poll in the last two weeks. Undefeated Gonzaga remained No. 1 in Monday’s poll with defending national champ Villanova moving up two spots to No. 2. Kansas, Louisville and Oregon rounded out the top five.
Purdue was a big mover in the rankings. The Boilermakers rose seven spots to No. 16 after beating Maryland and Northwestern last week. The Terps, dipped four spots to No. 21, while Northwestern fell from No. 25 to out of the poll.
