Just one year into his tenure in Madison, Wis., Justin Wilcox might be looking to move again.
Wilcox has interviewed for the newly open head coaching spot at Cal, Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports reports. This comes after previous reports from Feldman that Wilcox would receive “strong consideration” from Cal.

It wouldn’t be much of a surprise if Wilcox has interest in moving West. He has spent nearly his entire career on or near the West Coast, including experience as linebackers coach at Cal from 2003 to 2005. The 40-year-old also worked as a defensive coordinator for Boise State, Tennessee, Washington, and USC before taking the Wisconsin job.
After a rocky tenure at USC, Wilcox took over the Wisconsin defense when Dave Aranda left for LSU. The Badgers defense didn’t miss a beat under Wilcox, ranking seventh nationally in total defense and fourth in points allowed per game.
