Two facts are on a collision course as Wisconsin football hits the road to face BYU.
Fact 1: Wisconsin fans, and the whole state in general, have a well-earned reputation as among the hardest-drinking fans in the nation.
Fact 2: Provo, Utah, where BYU is located, is composed overwhelmingly of Mormons, who don’t drink. The BYU campus is also completely dry, as you would expect at a Mormon school.
Add those two together and you have a possibility, maybe even a likelihood, that Provo does not contain enough alcohol to fully satiate the thirst of Badgers fans. Matt Brown of SB Nation did a deep dive into this idea, noting that Provo contains a grand total of two bars.
Based on my flight in, there will be plenty of Wisconsin fans in town to make this happen. https://t.co/szduN1sFmB

If plenty of Wisconsin fans make the trip to Utah, it appears those two bars and any other place that serves alcohol, from chain restaurants to liquor stores, could be in for one of the busiest nights of their lives.
However, it should be said that while the idea of a town literally running out of alcohol is entertaining, safety with alcohol and respecting other beliefs is much more important. So do your thing Wisconsin fans, just be smart about it.
