Travon King commits to Rutgers: Scarlet Knights land in-state athlete
The Rutgers 2018 recruiting class hit the 20 mark when Travon King gave the nod to the Scarlet Knights on Saturday afternoon.

The Camden, N.J., native is listed as a 3-star wide receiver according to 247Sports but is also listed as a defensive end and tight end. He told Rivals.com that he could either play linebacker or defensive end or offense in college. At 6-foot-4, 200-pounds, King is the 44th best player in the state, and had offers from a number of schools including Purdue, Houston, North Carolina State, UCF and others.
The Scarlet Knights class moved up a spot to 45th nationally and remained at 10th in the Big Ten.
On Friday, coach Chris Ash added defensive end/tight end Matthew Thomas.
