Rutgers offensive lineman Jack Shutack has left the program, the school announced Tuesday.
Shutack, a redshirt freshman from La Grange Park, Ill., was a 3-star recruit in the Class of 2015 and the No. 24 player in the state of Illinois. He chose Rutgers over offers from Minnesota, Iowa State, N.C. State and Western Michigan.
The Scarlet Knights also announced redshirt freshman Kamaal Seymour has moved from defensive tackle to the offensive side of the ball. Seymour, listed at 6-foot-6 and 294 pounds, is from Brooklyn and was the No. 6 player in the state of New York in the Class of 2015. He also had offers from Penn State, Maryland and Central Florida.
Seymour is now second on the depth chart at one of the offensive tackle spots, according to the Star-Ledger’s Ryan Dunleavy.
Rutgers opens Chris Ash’s first season as head coach Sept. 3 at No. 14 Washington.
