While on Tuesday’s teleconference, Rutgers head coach Chris Ash said Kill is already back at work.
“Jerry is fine; he’s back to work. He was in our offices yesterday working,” Ash said on the teleconference. “As usual, he’ll coach this week, coach the game, and moving forward, no concerns at all. It was a minor setback. So we’re excited that Jerry is fine and back in the office, back with our football team.”
Rutgers is averaging only 13.5 points per game with 317.5 total yards of offense on average. But Morgan State provides an opportunity for the Scarlet Knights to regroup. Just last season, Rutgers routed Howard, 52-14, in one of the team’s two wins during the season.
After Morgan State, Rutgers plays at Nebraska and at home against Ohio State to start Big Ten play.
