Rutgers lost star wide receiver Janarion Grant on Saturday to an ankle injury. However, to make matters worse, not only was the injury season-ending, but the Scarlet Knights also lost another star for the year.
Seniors Grant and defensive tackle Quanzell Lambert were both lost for the year in Rutgers’ 14-7 loss against Iowa.

Grant injured his ankle on a long catch and run in the second quarter, where he caught a swing pass and sped 76-yards until Iowa’s Desmond King caught up to him and pulled him down. As Grant got pulled down by his shoulder pads, King stepped on his ankle which resulted in the injury. A video of the play is below.
Lambert was injured in the second half while attempting to tackle Hawkeye running back LeShaun Daniels. Lambert made the tackle and clutched his knee as he went down, and had to be carted off the field.
Rutgers coach Chris Ash did not comment on either injury, and declined to do so after speaking with medical personnel.
