It took until the fourth quarter, but Rutgers did gain a first down against Michigan.
The Scarlet Knights avoided becoming the first team since 1990 to go a complete game without gaining a first down. They finished with two on the night in the 78-0 loss.
While many Rutgers fans left at halftime, those who stayed were rewarded with that ever so small breakthrough. Check out this priceless reaction of one fan who hugged a Wolverines fan after the first down.
