Offensive tackle Raiqwon O’Neal (Conway, S.C.) committed to Rutgers on Wednesday, giving the Scarlet Knights their 18th commitment in the Class of 2018.
O’Neal, a 3-star lineman, announced his decision on television, and he chose Rutgers over offers from schools such as Michigan, Maryland, Louisville, South Carolina and East Carolina. The 247Sports composite ranks him as the No. 21 player in South Carolina and the No. 97 player at his position in the Class of 2018.
The 6-foot-5, 265-pound lineman shared his reasons for committing with NJ.com:
“The graphic design building and the people around there, and the campus, too,” O’Neal said. “And coach [Chris] Ash, how he is rebuilding the program.
