Two weeks from today, Rutgers will break ground on a new multisport practice facility, as reported by Keith Sargeant and NJ Advance Media.
In the article by Sargeant, he said NJ Advance Media learned that ground will be broken for the facility On Nov. 1 and a formal invitation will be sent out later today.
The facility is set to be built in Piscataway, NJ on the Livingston Campus adjacent to the Rutgers Athletic Center. The article said it could take two years to build and could be ready some point during the 2018-19 school year.
The article also had a link to some designs that Rutgers shared for the facility.
It is said in the article that the center will have basketball courts for the men’s and women’s teams, as well as practice areas for the wrestling, volleyball and gymnastics team.
There will be parking, locker rooms, strength and training rooms, sports medicine rooms and coaches offices.
