Rutgers’ 2017 class just got a little lighter.
Jonathan Taylor, a 3-star running back from Salem, N.J., has de-committed from the Scarlet Knights, he tweeted Saturday night.

Taylor is the 546th-ranked player and 31st-ranked running back in the class of 2017. He also holds offers from Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Army and Temple.
Taylor visited Wisconsin for its game against Ohio State two weeks ago. He had been committed to Rutgers since May 1.
The Scarlet Knights and coach Chris Ash have a strong 2017 class — before losing Taylor, it ranked 27th nationally and seventh in the Big Ten. It now has 19 total commits.
