One of Jeff Brohm’s Western Kentucky players is joining him at Purdue.
Linebacker T.J. McCollum has enrolled at Purdue and has officially joined the team’s roster, the school announced on Monday. McCollum has one season of eligibility remaining and is a grad transfer. He’s listed at 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds.
In two seasons with the Hilltoppers, McCollum posted 191 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks and 6 passes defended. After leading Western Kentucky in tackles with 106 in 2015, McCollum finished third with 85 despite missing the last three games.
Before playing at Western Kentucky, McCollum was at UAB. In his only season with the Blazers, the linebacker had 7 tackles.

Brohm was named the Boilermakers’ new head coach on Dec. 5. He went 30-10 at Western Kentucky, coaching the Hilltoppers to a final Top 25 ranking for the 2015 season.
The Boilermakers are scheduled to begin the 2017 season in Indianapolis against Louisville and Heisman winner Lamar Jackson on Sept. 2. Purdue then plays at home against Ohio on Sept. 9 before traveling to Missouri on Sept. 16. Big Ten play begins the next week at home against Michigan.
