Purdue is 4-0 this season, ranks No. 18 in the AP Poll Top 25 and No. 16 in the Coaches Poll. The Boilermakers have been ranked 40 consecutive weeks, which is the sixth-longest streak in the country.
So far this season, Purdue has beaten SIUE (105-74), Chicago State (111-42), Marquette (86-71) and Fairfield (106-64). In the rout against Fairfield, the Boilermakers made a school-record 19 3-pointers. Dakota Mathias mad all six of his 3-point attempts. The previous team record was 18 3-pointers, which was set against Vermont in 2015. Purdue is shooting 48.9 percent on 3-pointers, which is No. 8 nationally.
Purdue will play either Villanova or Western Kentucky when the Battle 4 Atlantic continues on Thursday, Nov. 23. The Battle 4 Atlantis Finals is set for Friday, Nov. 24.
Along with Purdue and Tennessee, Battle 4 Atlantis has Villanova, Western Kentucky, Arizona, SMU, NC State and Northern Iowa in the eight-team field.
