No. 13 Purdue rolls into the meat of the Big Ten slate on a 10-game winning streak with a 3-0 record already in conference and a 14-2 record overall. The Boilermakers are 10-0 at home and 2-0 away but just 2-2 at neutral sites.
Their three Big Ten wins came in an 80-75 victory at Maryland and a 74-69 victory at home against Northwestern both in early December before they dismantled Rutgers 82-51 on Wednesday night.
Their two losses came at the Battle 4 Atlantis to Tennessee and Western Kentucky, though they rebounded to beat then No. 2 Arizona to close out the tournament.
This season, the Boilermakers are led by four players in double-digit scoring with Carsen Edwards at the top of the pack averaging 17.4 points per game.
Isaac Haas, Vincent Edwards and Dakota Mathias are all averaging 13-plus points as well. Dakota Mathias leads the team with 76 assists while Carsen Edwards has 43, Vincent Edwards has 39 and Ryan Cline has 34.
Vincent Edwards is also far and away the team leader in rebounds with 8.5 per game, while Haas is next with 5.4.
Defensively, Haas has 18 blocks while P.J. Thompson has 25 steals.
The Boilermakers average 86.9 points per game while holding opponents to just 63.4.
On the other side, the Cornhuskers are 11-5 ovearall and 2-1 in Big Ten play coming off a 70-55 win over Northwestern on the road on Tuesday.
They are riding a four-game winning streak coming into the game and have their other Big Ten win over Minnesota while losing to Michigan State both in early December.
There are four Huskers in double-digit scoring led by James Palmer Jr., who averages 15.3 points per game.
Behind him is Glynn Watson Jr., Isaac Copeland and Anton Gill.
Watson Jr. leads the team in assists with 55 with Glynn and Palmer Jr. close behind.
