Purdue is halfway through getting a huge upset early in coach Jeff Brohm’s tenure.
The Boilermakers lead No. 8 Michigan 10-7 at the half. Purdue’s defense has stood tall against the Wolverines, who lost quarterback Wilton Speight to what looked like a head injury in the first half.
Purdue went 3-9 last season and hasn’t won more than three games in a season since 2012. Brohm has Purdue 2-1 and up at the half against Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.
