Purdue’s 2018 recruiting class has its second member, with the commitment Monday of wide receiver/linebacker Jaylan Alexander.

Alexander is a 3-star recruit and the No. 59 inside linebacker prospect in his class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
247Sports reports that Alexander received an offer from Purdue on Monday and accepted immediately.
Alexander, a rising senior at Hoffman Estates High School in River Grove, Ill., also had offers from Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and others.
Alexander is the second member of new Boilermakers coach Jeff Brohm’s first recruiting class, joining defensive tackle Raymond Ellis.
