On Saturday night, Demetrius Mauney made his commitment known. The 5-foot-11, 189-pound athlete is joining the Purdue Boilermakers.

Mauney, from East Rutherford High School in Forest City, N.C., is rated as a 3-star recruit and ranks as the No. 819 overall player, No. 76 athlete and No. 39 player from North Carolina in the Class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He has 11 scholarship offers, and Purdue is the lone Big Ten team.

The Boilermakers’ class now consists of 11 members. It ranks No. 32 nationally and No. 10 in the Big Ten.
