Even though he likely would have been selected in April’s NFL Draft, Purdue defensive tackle Jake Replogle won’t play football professionally, he told GoldandBlack in a statement.
Replogle said he will instead pursue in a career in business.
According to GoldandBlack, Replogle would not comment on his specific reasons for leaving football. The senior missed four games this season, reportedly due to a concussion. Throughout the season he declined to speak in detail about his injuries.
CBS Sports ranked Replogle as the No. 17 defensive tackle in the 2017 NFL Draft and projected he would be selected in the fifth round.
Replogle ended his career at Purdue with 161 tackles and eight sacks.
