Darrell Hazell is going pro.
The former Purdue head coach is set to become the wide receivers coach for the Minnesota Vikings, according to a report from SiriusXM’s Alex Marvez.

Hazell was fired by Purdue last October after 3.5 seasons with the Boilermakers. Hazell was 9-33 in West Lafayette, and Purdue never won more than three games in a season during his tenure.
Before joining the Boilermakers, Hazell was the head coach at Kent State. The 52-year-old has plenty of other coaching stops, including seven seasons as Ohio State’s wide receivers coach, but he has never coached in the NFL.
Former Western Kentucky coach Jeff Brohm was hired to replace Hazell at Purdue
