Many projected NCAA Tournament brackets can be found at this time of the year and ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has his out and keeps updating it throughout each day leading up to Selection Sunday.
According to Lunardi’s latest bracket, Purdue will be a No. 2 seed in the West Region. Of course, not every No. 1 seed makes it to the Final Four each year, but typically, the better the team, the better their seed.
TeamRankings, who has a mathematical algorithm based on Lunardi’s most recent bracket, has the odds for each team’s chances of making it to the Sweet 16, Final Four and winning the entire tournament.
Villanova, who will a No. 1 seed according to Lunardi, has the highest chances of cutting down the nets according to TeamRankings at 16.6 percent. Coming in at No. 2 is a team that many may take a second look at.

At 10.8 percent, the Purdue Boilermakers have the second-highest odds at winning the NCAA Tournament.

To make Final Four:
- 35 percent
To win tournament:
- 10.8 percent
The Boilermakers are ahead of another No. 2 seed in Duke — who has the third-highest odds. The highest No. 3 seed in terms of odds to win the tournament are Michigan State, at 7.1 percent.
The Spartans have the sixth-highest odds overall.
Selection Sunday is set to take place at 6 p.m. ET on March 11 on TBS. The first-round games of the NCAA Tournament will be played on March 15-16.
