Three-star offensive guard Charles Allen will wear black and gold in his college football career.
Allen, from Louisville, Ky., announced on his Twitter page Wednesday that he has committed to play for the Purdue Boilermakers.

Allen, 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, is considered the second-highest rated prospect in the Purdue 2018 recruiting class. It’s still early, but pro-style quarterback Jack Plummer is the only prospect committed to Purdue for next year who ranks higher, according to 247Sports.
Allen is the sixth commit for the Boilermakers and fourth 3-star player. Purdue still has quite a bit of work to do, but it has climbed out of the conference cellar and possesses the 11th-best 2018 recruiting class out of 14 in the Big Ten, as of June 14.
