Purdue really wants Caleb Swanigan to win National Player of the Year honors. The Boilermakers have even carved out their own slice of the Internet to showcase their star.
Purdue launched Biggie4NPOY.com on Wednesday, an entire website dedicated to showing why “Biggie” Swanigan should be named the country’s best player. The sleek website has Swanigan’s stats, highlights, background and has gathered all the media buzz around the Boilermakers’ big man from this season.

On the court, Swanigan has made a great argument. He is averaging 18.7 points and 13.0 rebounds per game — a mark that is second nationally. The 6-foot-9 sophomore has 22 double-doubles in Purdue’s 26 games. With one more, he will set the Big Ten record for most in a season.

And the buzz for Swanigan isn’t just coming from his own program. CBS Sports ranked him as the National Player of the Year leader Wednesday, putting him ahead of Kansas’ Frank Mason and Villanova’s Josh Hart.
Swanigan will have another month to keep making his case on the court. But the campaign is in full swing.
