Jeff Brohm and Purdue have added another talented player to their 2017 roster with the commitment of offensive lineman Shane Evans, a graduate transfer from Northern Illinois.
“I loved the coaching staff and I knew in my heart it was the best place for me to further my education and athletic career,” Evans wrote on Twitter. “I am extremely excited to say I will be a Boilermaker.”

Evans is a 6-foot-4-inch, 302-pound lineman who likely will play guard at Purdue.
As a graduate transfer, Evans will be eligible to play for Purdue immediately. And because he graduated from Northern Illinois after three years but played football for only two, he retains two more seasons of eligibility.
