Vincent Edwards is headed to Houston.
The former Purdue guard was selected by the Utah Jazz with the No. 52 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft of Thursday night, but later was traded to the Houston Rockets in exchange for cash considerations.

Edwards was a key cog in Purdue’s success last season. The 6-foot-8 Edwards averaged 14.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 39.8 percent from 3-point range last season. He was named to the second-team All-Big Ten.
Edwards will join an organization that finished with the best record in the NBA last season (65-17) and made it to Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. The Rockets lost to the eventual NBA champion Golden State.
