Penn State fans had to hold their breath when running back Saquon Barkley limped off the field after the Lions’ first offensive play.
They had reason to cheer on the next possession.
Trace McSorley found wide receiver Chris Godwin wide open down the middle of the field for a 52-yard touchdown.

It was the team-leading 12th catch of the season for Godwin and his first touchdown. It was McSorley’s fourth touchdown of the season and Penn State’s longest play from scrimmage this season.
