Penn State was pulling away from Purdue in the second half, then Saquon Barkley put the cherry on top.
Barkley bounced outside on what looked to be a routine handoff and took a carry 81 yards for a touchdown. It was the longest run of the sophomore’s career.

The touchdown gave Penn State a 48-24 lead against Purdue after the team’s were tied at halftime. It also pushed Barkley over the 200-yard mark on the day. It was the second time in three weeks Barkley broke the 200-yard mark barrier on the ground and his 207 yards came on just 18 carries (11.5 yards per carry).
He also had three catches for 70 yards, so he already had 277 yards from scrimmage on the afternoon.
